TOWSON, MD — The Ravens cheerleaders, mascot Poe, Marching Ravens Pep Band and former players rallied in Towson Thursday before Baltimore takes on Tennessee in the AFC divisional playoffs Saturday night.

"We're big fans. We love our Ravens," Baltimore County Executive Johnny Olszewski said at the event. "What a great season."

The Ravens ended the season with a 14-2 record, clinching their spot as the No. 1 seed in the AFC. The team will host the Titans at 8:15 p.m. Saturday at M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore.

Among those predicting a Ravens trip to the Super Bowl were elected officials and former players.

"They're going all the way," said Councilman Julian Jones, whose district includes the Ravens practice facility, the Under Armour Performance Center in Owings Mills.

Former Ravens cornerback and Super Bowl champion Cary Williams encouraged fans: "Continue to have that Big Truss."

Former Ravens linebacker and Super Bowl champion Adalius Thomas, who lives in Reisterstown, said part of what kept him in the area were the fans and "the love that Baltimore's always shown me."

Fans play a role in helping the players on the way to victory, he added.

"The guys on the field feed off of your excitement and your energy," Thomas said. "It's hard to maintain that energy throughout the whole game." He encouraged people to "be loud."

"The way the community's come together around the Ravens, it never gets old. We don't take it for granted," Ravens Vice President of Marketing Brad Downs said. "We love our home in Owings Mills. We're proud to be in Baltimore County."
