Bomb Threat At Towson Movie Theater Under Investigation: Police

TOWSON, MD - A bomb threat investigation at a movie theater has closed a road Saturday in Towson, according to officials.

Police activity closed the 100 block of East Joppa Road, authorities said after 4:30 p.m.

Joppa Road at Virginia Avenue was shut down, police said, advising people to avoid the area.

Investigators said a bomb threat was called in to the Towson Cinemark, where moviegoers were evacuated from the movie theater as a precaution.

"At this point, no suspicious packages have been located and there's been no confirmation of a threat," the Baltimore County Police Department reported before 5 p.m.
