Police ID Man Wanted In Fatal Shooting Of Towson University Student

TOWSON, MD — Baltimore County Police identified Reginald T. Gray Jr., 33, as a man wanted in connection with the fatal shooting of a Towson University student.

Authorities urged residents to be on the lookout for Gray, who they say "has a distinct tattoo on the front of his neck, is 6’1” and 190 lbs." See photo of Gray and the car linked to the case.

Gray came under the police's radar after he was linked to the June 5 shooting that broke out as two drivers were traveling on the northbound lanes of York Road in the Towson Circle area.

At the time, police said that a man — later identified as 22-year-old Towson University student Nasir Majied — had been shot multiple times by another driver.

Police have not yet provided a motive in the case, although officials previously stated road rage could have been a factor.

"From all indications, he is from Baltimore. His last-known address is in East Baltimore," Baltimore County Police Chief Robert McCullough told WBAL, referring to Gray.

"We've been looking for him down there. It's possible that he has taken that Virginia tag off that car and put it on another car, and I think everybody knows how I feel about Virginia tags. I know how people with Virginia tags drive and the way they don't abide by our laws in Maryland."

The 33-year-old wanted man was last known to be driving a 2007 Nissan Altima bearing Virginia tags SXM-4392. Police say the vehicle was also fitted with tinted windows.

Gray is believed to be armed and dangerous, and anyone who spots him is asked to call 911 immediately or contact officials at (410) 887-3700.
