Rally Calls For Baltimore County Police Reform

Councilman Julian Jones, who introduced police reform legislation, hosted a rally in Towson.

BALTIMORE COUNTY, MD — About 60 community members rallied in Towson Thursday night calling for reform in the Baltimore County Police Department.

Councilman Julian Jones, who represents Owings Mills and Randallstown in the western part of the county, hosted the event highlighting his recently introduced police reform bill.

The bill would require the Baltimore County Police Department to ban chokeholds, track use of force, not hire police who have been terminated from other departments over use of force, require officers to render medical aid if a person reports being injured and other measures to ensure police accountability.
