Senator Ted Cruz Rallies Republicans in Towson
Maryland is 'battleground' vital to changing direction of country. —Texas Sen. Ted Cruz, candidate for Republican Presidential nomination.
TOWSON, MD – Republican Presidential hopeful Ted Cruz appeared in Towson Monday afternoon to rally hundreds of supporters.
"This next election will be about three issues: jobs, freedom and security," Texas Sen. Cruz said.

Speaking at the Towson American Legion Post 22 on York Road, Cruz said if elected, he would repeal Obamacare, stand up to terrorists, raise the minimum wage and dissolve the Internal Revenue Service.
After years with a Democrat in the White House, Cruz said: "...people are waking up, and help is on the way."

Marylanders and their votes were particularly important in shifting the momentum in the U.S., he said.
"Maryland is a battleground," Cruz said. "The nation is looking to Maryland to decide, do we nominate Donald Trump and hand the election to Hillary Clinton or do we unite behind the Cruz campaign and beat Hillary Clinton?"
Said Cruz: "If we unite, we will win this primary. If we unite, we will win the general [election], we will beat Hillary Clinton and we will turn this country around."
Early voting runs until Thursday, April 21. The Maryland primary is Tuesday, April 26.
