Towson Apartment Fire: One Injured, Officials Say

Fire officials said a one-alarm fire in Towson broke out Thursday at an apartment building.

TOWSON, MD — One person was injured in an apartment fire in Towson Thursday, according to authorities. Crews were dispatched to the blaze at 4:48 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 31.

The fire broke out at an apartment building near the 200 block of Garden Road, officials said.

Although the Baltimore County Fire Department initially said multiple people were injured, they later reported one person was affected. The victim was taken for treatment of injuries that were believed to be non-life-threatening, according to authorities.

Smoke was coming from the first floor of the apartment building when firefighters arrived, according to WBAL's Sky Captain Roy Taylor, who reported crews aggressively attacked the fire.
