Towson Courthouse Reopens After Months-Long Closure

TOWSON, MD โ€” Following the completion of repairs, the district courthouse in Towson reopened Tuesday. It had been closed since Jan. 3 for critical work, according to the Maryland Judiciary.

Initially the plan was for the courthouse to close for six months but because of the coronavirus pandemic, the closure was extended to nine months for completion of repairs to the HVAC system.

Courts across Maryland reopened for jury trials starting Monday, Oct. 5, and are now fully operational.

The Baltimore County District Courthouse at 120 East Chesapeake Avenue in Towson reopened at 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 13, according to the Maryland Judiciary.
