Towson Crime: Holdups at China Fun, Dollar Store, 7-Eleven

Bicycle thieves caught in the act at Loch Raven Village and other reports from Baltimore County police.

The Towson precinct of the Baltimore County Police Department provided the following information.

Would-be bicycle thieves were backpedaling after being caught in the act over the weekend in Towson. The burglars entered a home in the 1500 block of Cottage Lane through the sunroom and were about to make off with two bicycles when the owner interrupted them. The suspects put down the bikes and left the scene. The incident occurred at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 18.

There was an armed robbery at China Fun restaurant in the 7200 block of York Road. The suspects pulled out a handgun and demanded money. The holdup occurred at 9:59 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 16.

Multiple people forced their way into a home in the 1400 block of Taylor Avenue through the front door. After demanding to know where a certain person was, they left. The burglary occurred at 12:01 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 15.

An armed robber took money from the Dollar Tree store in the 1500 block of East Joppa Road. After pointing a gun at the cashier and taking money from the store, the suspect took $1 from a customer before departing. The robbery occurred at 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 14.

The 7-Eleven in the 1300 block of Taylor Avenue was robbed at gunpoint. One person entered the store, showed a handgun, demanded money and left with an undisclosed amount of cash. The robbery occurred at 2:05 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 14.

An armed robbery was reported at the 7-Eleven in the 8500 block of Loch Raven Boulevard. One suspect showed a handgun, while the other went behind the counter. They left with cigarettes and money. The robbery occurred at 3:55 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 13.
