Towson Crime: Liquor Store Robbery, Kiosk Burglary

Two crimes were reported recently in Towson, according to the Baltimore County Police Department.

TOWSON, MD โ€” Two crimes were reported in the Towson precinct Saturday, Feb. 1, according to the Baltimore County Police Department. One was a burglary at the mall, and another was a robbery at a retailer. One resulted in an arrest; an arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Uptown Liquors in the 100 block of York Road was robbed at 6:35 p.m. on Saturday. Police said the suspect implied having a gun and ordered employees to take cash from the register and put it in a bag. After the robbery, officials said the suspect took off in a vehicle.

Police said a juvenile was arrested for breaking into a kiosk at Towson Town Center in the 800 block of Dulaney Valley Road. The burglary at the mall occurred around 10:45 p.m. on Saturday.

This was the second time in two weeks that youths tried to break into kiosks at the shopping center. Police previously reported taking two youths into custody after kiosk burglaries Sunday, Jan. 19.
