Towson Nights Hookah Lounge Burglarized: Towson Crime

Police said a hookah lounge burglary, knifepoint robbery and other crimes were reported this week in Towson.

TOWSON, MD — Two robberies and two burglaries were reported in the past week in Towson, according to the Baltimore County Police Department. Four people were arrested, according to officials. Arrests do not indicate convictions.

One person was arrested in a robbery in the unit block of Witherwood Court. Police said the suspect implied having a weapon in the incident, which happened at 4:30 a.m. on Sept. 8. The suspect was identified and taken into custody.

Three people were arrested after trying to rob someone at knifepoint in the Anneslie area. Police said around 5:41 p.m. on Sept. 7, the trio attempted to rob the victim with a knife in the 600 block of Murdock Road, then asked for a cell phone. When the victim positively identified those involved in the armed robbery to police, they were arrested.

A TV was taken in a home burglary in the 1200 block of Overbrook Road near Idlewylde. Police said the suspect got into the home through a basement door that had been locked, and left with the large-screen television at 12:35 p.m. on Sept. 6.

A large amount of cash was stolen from the Towson Nights Hookah Lounge. Police said the burglary happened between 1:30 and 6 a.m. on Sept. 5. The burglar shattered the front door to the club, located in the unit block of West Pennsylvania Avenue, then took the money and left.
