Towson Royal Farms Robber Arrested: Police
Police say the man who robbed the Royal Farms near Joppa at Pleasant Plains Road has been charged.
TOWSON, MD — The man accused in five convenience store robberies in Baltimore County, including one in Towson last week, has been arrested. Police had said he would likely strike again if not stopped on his spree.
Arick William Fleming, 55, was arrested in Dundalk Tuesday night, police said. Detectives had followed leads to the Turner Station neighborhood, where a team of officers blanketed the area in the search for Fleming Tuesday evening, and a K-9 officer spotted him crossing Main Street.
Fleming, of the 6900 block of Broening Road, was arrested at 9:58 p.m., according to authorities.

Police allege Fleming robbed or attempted to rob five stores between Friday, Feb. 16, and Monday, Feb. 19:
- 7:21 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 16, at Royal Farms, 9620 Belair Road, Perry Hall
- 7:52 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 16, at Royal Farms, 1525 East Joppa Road, Towson
- 4;28 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 17, at Royal Farms, 8803 Philadelphia Road, Rosedale
- Sunday, Feb. 18, at Royal Farms, 2700 Taylor Avenue, Parkville; attempted robbery
- Monday, Feb. 19, at High's, 6801 Broening Road, Dundalk
Police said Fleming took cash from the Royal Farms in Towson at 7:52 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 16. The robbery occurred about 30 minutes after he made an attempt to rob the Royal Farms in Perry Hall, where he reached across the counter and was unable to grab any money, officials reported.

He has been charged with the following crimes, court records show:
- Friday, Feb. 16: Two counts of attempted theft under $100
- Sunday, Feb. 18: Armed robbery; two counts of robbery; two counts of second-degree assault; theft from $100 to $1,500; handgun on person; attempted theft of $100 to $1,500; and attempted theft under $100
- Monday, Feb. 19: Two counts of armed robbery
The robberies and attempts involved threats, according to authorities, who advised people to consider him armed and dangerous.
In Saturday's robbery at Royal Farms in Rosedale, police said Fleming implied he had a gun under his coat and threatened to shoot the cashier, who was trying to close the cash drawer after he purchased a pack of gum. He left with cash.
When Fleming tried to rob the Royal Farms in Parkville on Sunday, police said he threatened to kill an employee who intervened.
"Police are confident Fleming will strike again unless he is taken into custody," police said in a statement on Tuesday.
Fleming was being held without bail Wednesday at the Baltimore County Detention Center.
