Towson Vehicle Thefts: 3 Charged, Trail Led To Catonsville
Police said the vehicle thefts started with trying door handles in Towson neighborhoods.

TOWSON, MD — Three people were charged in a rash of vehicle thefts from the Riderwood area, according to police. A parking complaint in Catonsville helped lead police to the suspects.
Police allege the thieves pulled door handles in driveways and on streets in Towson, then took items from unlocked cars; if the key was inside, the suspects took the vehicle. At least nine vehicles were taken, police reported.
After a Catonsville resident called to file a parking complaint Wednesday morning about a Honda CRV blocking the driveway in 600 block of Woodsdale Road, police found that the vehicle was one of those that had been reported stolen from the 1400 to 1600 block of Jeffers Road in Towson.

When the trio stopped at a gas station in the 6000 block of Baltimore National Pike, police said detectives approached them and they tried to run away.
