Towson Veterans Day Ceremony 2019 Honors Those Who Served

The American Legion, Towson Elks and others celebrated veterans in Towson.

TOWSON, MD — Organizations and individuals came together as a community Monday to honor veterans in Towson. The Towson American Legion Post 22 and the Towson Elks organized the annual Veterans Day ceremony.

Community members laid wreaths at the war memorials and commemorated Towson veterans in front of the Wayside Cross.

"The inscription on the Wayside Cross is beautiful," Councilman David Marks, who attended the ceremony, said in a statement. "While it memorializes those who died, its words capture the collective heroism of all who could potentially be put in harm's way: 'Greater love than this hath no man.'"
