Maryland transportation officials give heads up about increase volume on highways downtown.

With the Baltimore Orioles home opener on tap Friday afternoon, thousands of extra people will be heading downtown for the ball game—and the Maryland Transportation Authority is giving some travel tips.
For those hitting the 3:05 p.m. game against the Blue Jays, the authority advises taking public transportation to Camden Yards.
Drivers on Interstate 95 and I-395 should be advised that traffic volumes will be higher than usual on Friday afternoon around the game.

Also, there is major roadwork underway south of the Fort McHenry Tunnel, where lanes have shifted between Russell Street and Key Highway in various work zones and the speed limit is 50 mph.
