Weather Call For Baltimore County Public Schools On Feb 7
Baltimore County Public Schools updated its decision for Wednesday, Feb. 7; also, a snow emergency plan is now in effect for the county.

BALTIMORE COUNTY, MD — Public schools will be closed in Baltimore County on Wednesday, Feb. 7. School officials made the announcement Wednesday morning after re-evaluating conditions.
Baltimore County Public Schools officials cited inclement weather in announcing the closure, which affects both schools and school offices.
Baltimore County has declared a snow emergency, Maryland State Police reported after 7 a.m. During a snow emergency, vehicles may not park along designated snow emergency routes. If they are parked there, vehicles may be towed.

Authorities said there were multiple crashes on Interstate 83 between I-695 and the Pennsylvania line. People are advised to delay traveling if possible Wednesday morning.

Baltimore County is under a winter weather advisory for snow, sleet and freezing rain.

A mix of snow, sleet and freezing rain is expected to transition to freezing rain throughout the morning and rain by late Wednesday afternoon, weather officials say.
At 6:49 a.m., Baltimore County emergency management officials reported that precipitation was falling across the county.
Forecasters are calling for anywhere from a coating to 1 inch of snow and sleet. The highest amounts of accumulation will be north and west of Interstate 95, weather officials say.
Roads may be icy, and drivers should anticipate slippery roads and limited visibility, the winter weather advisory states.

Baltimore County government offices will open at 11:30 a.m. with liberal leave in effect.
Baltimore County Public Library is opening at noon.
CCBC campuses are opening at noon.
Garrison Forest School is closed.
Goucher College is opening at 10:30 a.m.
The Park Heights and Owings Mills Jewish Community Center buildings are scheduled to open at 11 a.m.
Stevenson University is opening at noon.
Towson University is opening at noon. Shuttle service begins at 11 a.m.
