It may soon become a little easier to get from York Road to York, Pa., as a York County transit service plans an expansion to the Towson area.
The proposal, first reported by the Sun's Getting There blog, would add three stops to rabbittransit's Timonium route starting in mid-February. The shuttle, which currently makes six round trips every weekday from York to the Timonium light rail station, is primarily geared toward commuters.
The planned stops would be in front of the county office building at 111 West Chesapeake Ave., outside Towson Commons and in front of Stanley Black and Decker's Towson complex on East Joppa Road.

The head of the York County Transportation Authority told the Sun the shuttle, which costs $5 each way, has seen substantial growth and that Towson has the density to make such a service work.
The agency posted a proposed map and timetable online with a survey seeking public comments.
