TOWSON, MD — While Towson is thawing out now, snow made roads challenging or impassable during the spring nor'easter this week. Troopers handled 634 crashes and 389 disabled vehicle calls statewide between 8 a.m. on Tuesday and 8 a.m. on Thursday, according to Maryland State Police. The agency said most of its calls were in central Maryland.
How much snow fell in Towson? There were two measurements submitted to the National Weather Service.
A measurement of 7.8 inches of accumulation in Towson was reported at 8 a.m. on Thursday. There was also a report of 5.9 inches at the same time in west-northwest Towson, according to preliminary data.

Schools were closed on Wednesday and Thursday in Baltimore County.
On Friday, the high is 42 degrees and the low is 27, but with wind gusts as high as 22 mph, the "feels-like" temperature will be below freezing until around 1 p.m., according to the Towson forecast from the National Weather Service.
