📢 Community members - Adopters and fosters are needed for 12&nbsp;dogs on the urgent list by today, 7/21.&nbsp;&nbsp;Please go meet and adopt dogs today. The fee for Bobo and Red is $0 based on weight.&nbsp;They are over capacity with dogs&nbsp;during construction and need space for more dogs coming in.&nbsp;&nbsp;
As of 7/21 AM: Up to 12 dogs listed below need adopters and fosters! Check for updates at the Facebook link. Fosters are needed for: Bermuda (apply with <a href="https://www.facebook.com/people/Kochs-Corsos-Rescues/61568676127145/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">Koch's Corsos and Rescues</a>) and Red (apply with <a href="https://www.facebook.com/wiggleswayrescue" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">Wiggles Way Rescue Corporation</a>).
🐶&nbsp;Adopters:&nbsp;&nbsp;Please go to the shelter today&nbsp;(11am to 7pm, arrive by 5:30pm or no later than 6pm.) Adopters are able to meet 2 dogs and bring dogs for meet and greets 
Note: Adopters of pit bulls: Review the requirements and complete the&nbsp;Pet Parenting Certification (that takes about an hour)&nbsp;before going to adopt&nbsp;Pit Bull Terriers&nbsp;and specific bully-type breeds. 🐶 Prospective fosters:&nbsp;Fosters through the shelter and rescues are needed for these dogs.&nbsp;Please apply with rescue partners, or with the shelter on Thursday, to become a foster and save a life.&nbsp;The Friends of PG&nbsp;County Animal Shelter posts about dogs which need fosters through the shelter or otherwise through rescues.&nbsp;Fostering is usually free with a rescue.

Prince George’s County Animal Services is over capacity, and we need YOUR help more than ever! Volunteers are the heartbeat of our shelter—they walk and train dogs, socialize cats, help with feeding and cleaning, support adoptions at offsite events, and so much more. Without enough volunteers, our animals miss out on the enrichment, love, and exercise they desperately need while waiting for their forever homes.
Teens (14–17 years old) can complete required school service hours (non-animal handling tasks). Adults (18+) can work hands-on with animals after orientation and a facility tour.
