Community College To Host Career Fair

will host the fourth annual Hospitality Career Fair on Thursday with more than a dozen local businesses. Attendees should register prior to attending the event, dress for a job interview and bring multiple copies of their resumes.

The free event will take place from noon to 2 p.m. Thursday in the Largo Student Center, Community Rooms B and C. Register by sending an email to career_job@pgcc.edu.

According to a release from the college, participating employers include:

• The Marriott Inn and Conference Center at University of Maryland University College
• Gaylord National Hotel and Convention Center
• TownePlace Suites by Marriott
• Doctors Community Hospital
• Six Flags America

“Despite a challenging economy, employers are seeking well-trained students to fill job openings,” said Stephanie Pair-Cunningham, senior career advisor, in a release. “Over the past four years, we have forged strong relationships with these local businesses and the career fair is a great way to connect our students with businesses ready to hire.”

The event is sponsored by the Hospitality and Tourism Institute at Prince George’s Community College and Career Services.
