Flames Sweep Through Upper Marlboro Home

Prince George's County firefighters have extinguished the bulk of the fire, officials say.

Prince George's County firefighters are currently on the scene of a house fire at 15101 Buck Lane, in Upper Marlboro, where most of the blaze has been extinguished, according to officials.

Flames ripped through the interior of the single-story dwelling, gutting most of the inside, said Scott Peterson, deputy communications manager for County Executive Rushern Baker. Peterson was on the scene of the fire.

No one appeared to be in the home and no injuries were reported, said officials.
Officials also reported that a fire hose had to be laid across the CSX tracks, shutting the tracks down temporarily.

As of 5:00 p.m., the Prince George's County Fire Department had extinguished the fire and was no longer on the scene, according to officials.
