Blog: Carroll Hospital Center Offers Health Expo

Carroll Hospital Center has scheduled its yearly Total Health Expo for this Saturday August 27 from 8 a.m. until 1p.m.  The event will be held in the Dixon Building parking lots behind the hospital and below the White Rabbit Thrift Shop.

There will be lots of interactive educational displays, health information booths, and free walk-in screenings such as oral cancer, osteoporosis, foot, and dental health, blood pressure screening as well as free walk in seated mini massages, reflexology, reiki, and auricular (ear) acupuncture.  There will be prizes, giveaways and snacks available for the whole family.

At the same time the hospital auxillary is sponsoring White Rabbit Day a combination flea market/yard sale/vendor event where you can view and purchase some special treasures.  There will be breakfast and lunch available for sale.  And for extra fun there will be a BALLOON BLAST.  This exciting event allows associates of the hospital and our wonderful community members the opportunity to purchase water balloons to throw at "nominated" department members. Guests range from senior leaders to managers of our various departments through out the hospital.

The cost is 3 balloons for $1 and starts at 8 a.m. 

I recommend all to come out and support the hospital auxillary and learn some really great total health information.  I will be in the Balloon Blast at 8 a.m. so stop by and say hi!  No need to throw balloons at me--Hi is good enough.
