Carroll Civil Air Patrol Squadron Awarded 2013 Quality Cadet Unit Award.

September 2013, Westminster, Md. The Carroll Composite Squadron, located in Westminster, Md., receives the 2013 Quality Cadet Unit Award. The Quality Cadet Unit Award acknowledges excellence in program administration and success in performance.

            Annually, during the month of September, Civil Air Patrol National Headquarters' staff examines every state's cadet and composite squadron's performance in specific areas to determine personnel status and program effectiveness.  Squadrons who meet or exceed the award standards in maintaining performance goals in adult leadership, Aerospace Excellence and cadet achievement, participation in encampments, growth, cadet flight orientation, personnel retention and Drug Demand Reduction activities are awarded the Quality Cadet Unit Award. The Carroll Squadron also received the Quality Cadet Unit Award in 2010 and 2011.

            Lieutenant Colonel Frank Jarosinski, Squadron Commander thanked his staff and cadets for a job well done, "Working with quality people who share the commitment to excellence ensures success.  Our ability to achieve excellence as a unit is built on the individual contribution of each member. Each of you plays an important part in the squadron's total success. I am proud to be a part of the Carroll Squadron and extend my personal appreciation to each of you for all that you do.

The Carroll Composite Squadron meets 7 p.m. Tuesday evenings at the Hilltop Assembly of God Church Hall at 30 North Cranberry Road in Westminster, Md.  Prospective cadets, ages 12-18, and their parents are always welcome. Adults seeking mentoring opportunities are invited as well.
