Carroll County Chamber Of Commerce : Westminster High School Names Hockey Field To Honor Former Coaches

At its meeting on Wednesday, October 13, 2021, the Board of Education of Carroll County gave official approval to name the field hockey field at Westminster High School “Hooper and Baker Field.” The field is being dedicated to two former coaches, Susan Hooper and Brenda Baker. 

Hooper and
Baker served Westminster High School as field hockey coaches for a combined 41
years, with Baker serving for 15 years and Hooper 26. Both coaches had major
impacts on those they coached and those who attended the school between 1971
and 1999. In addition to positively impacting high school students, their teams
won four MPSSAA State Championships and reached the State Tournament twelve
times.
