Dog Sought After Person Attacked In Finksburg: Health Department

BREAKING: The Carroll County Health Department is on the lookout for a brown and tan dog with floppy ears.

FINKSBURG, MD — After a dog allegedly bit someone outside the Kellogg’s Snacks building in Finksburg Monday night, authorities are asking for help locating the canine.

The dog was described as having floppy ears, a medium to large build and a short brown and tan coat.

The bite occurred between 5:30 and 6 p.m. near the Kellogg's Snacks building in the 2000 block of Bethel Road in Finksburg, according to the Carroll County Health Department.

Officials said they would like to verify the dog is in good health.

If the dog is not found by the morning of Thursday, March 9, officials said the victim of the bite will receive a series of post-exposure rabies shots.
