Disney's Mulan JR

Disney's “Mulan Jr.” on stage at the Carroll Arts Center.

 

Audiences of all ages will enjoy this classic Disney tale on stage at the Carroll Arts Center.  Travel in time to the Northern Wei Dynasty in this fun filled adventure.  China is under attack and Mulan decides to join the fight with the help of her dragon guardian Mushu.  The ensemble contains more than 50 of Carroll County's most talented teenagers.  Audiences will recognize Disney favorites such as "Reflection," "I'll Make a Man out of You" and "A Girl Worth Fighting For."

The performances will be held on Friday November 11 at 7 pm, Saturday November 12 at 3 pm and 7 pm and Sunday, November 13 at 3 pm.

Julie Herber of the Maryland Ensemble Theatre directed the production and Tabetha White is the Assistant Director and Stage Manager. The musical is based on the 1998 Disney film Mulan and the story Fa Mulan by Robert D. San Souci   Music and lyrics for “Mulan Jr.” are by Matthew Wilder,  David Zippel, Stephen Schwartz , Jeanine Tesori and Alexa Junge.  The music and lyrics were adapted and arranged by  Bryan Louiselle    The book was adapted with additional lyrics by Patricia Cotter
