Heed Caution when Playing with Fireworks

Amputated fingers, burns, and fractures are often the result of fireworks that explode to close to the hand. Each year, myself and my fellow Certified Hand Therapist, Anne Wright, rehabilitate injuries related to fireworks mishaps. Many of these are lifechanging for the individual and almost 100% of the time are due to a loss of focus when setting fireworks off.
This year, our goal is to not see even one of these injuries. That seems like an odd goal for a service business, would "The Cow" hope to not sell any Italian Ice? But the devistation of injuries like this are so great and avoidable, we would gladly welcome the lower bottom line.
So please heed caution when playing with fireworks.
