• Maryland Man Admits Guilt in Elaborate Technical-Support Fraud Scheme (radiofreehubcity.com) — A Westminster resident has pleaded guilty in federal court to helping run a multimillion-dollar tech-support fraud scheme that targeted more than 1,000 victims, many of them older adults. Prosecutors say he created shell companies and bank accounts to route payments, admitting he personally received at least $80,000 and now faces up to 20 years in prison.
