Police Seek Wakefield Valley Golf Club Vandals
The Westminster Police Department is offering a cash reward to those with information regarding vandalism that took place over the weekend at the Wakefield Valley Golf Club.
Police are appealing to the public for help with identifying the suspect or suspects involved in acts of vandalism and theft over the weekend that left the grounds of the Wakefield Valley Golf Club in disarray.
According to the Westminster Police Department, the incident took place during the overnight hours of Friday, Aug. 5. As a result of the raid, the club, located on the 1000 block of Fenby Farm Road, incurred an estimated $2,000 worth of damage.
“During the hours of darkness damage was done to several golf holes bordering Bell Road to include the destruction of several ball washers, theft of golf flags and the scattering of the trash from several trash cans,” stated the department’s Aug. 9 press release.

The Westminster Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance with the investigation of theft and property damage, and is offering a $200 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for the crime.
Meanwhile, according to Major Ron Stevens, the department has yet to come up with a lead in the case.

“Hopefully somebody will come forward and give us an idea,” Stevens said.
Those with information on the incident are being encouraged to contact investigating Officer Timothy Dellospedale.
In addition, information may be provided anonymously using the department’s tip line at 410-857-TIPS, or through text messaging TIPWPD and your tip to 847411 (TIP411).
