Severna Park Ruins Westminster’s Undefeated Season
Westminster lost the state championship game 14-7.
The Westminster girls lacrosse express was derailed Wednesday by Severna Park, 14-7 at UMBC.
The two were meeting for the class 4A-3A title. Seven points was the fewest Westminster scored during the season. The least they scored in a game up to Wednesday was 16.
"At this point, I just tell the girls to keep their heads up. They had an undefeated season. They have absolutely no reason to put their heads down,’’ said coach Jackie Stevens.
