U.S. Education Secretary to Visit Baltimore County School
Perry Hall High School is expected to host U.S. Secretary of Education Arne Duncan on Aug. 22.

U.S. Secretary of Education Arne Duncan has chosen , Baltimore County's , as the backdrop for a major education announcement.
School officials and more than 800 English teachers are expected to greet Duncan at 8:30 a.m. on Aug. 22, inside the school at 4601 Ebenezer Rd., confirmed.
Roberts said details on the secretary's planned statement have not yet been announced.

"We are very excited to officially welcome Secretary Duncan to Perry Hall High School. It's very exciting for the community and the kids to have someone of his stature visit the school," Roberts said.
Duncan, a 47-year-old Democrat who holds a bachelor's degree from Harvard University, was appointed by in 2009. He previously worked seven years as CEO of Chicago Public Schools.
