
The Westminster Police Department is investigating a robbery on Wednesday, May 16, at approximately 11:45 p.m. in the parking lot of the Popeye’s Restaurant, 624 Baltimore Blvd. One person was injured.
According to police, an employee of Popeye’s was leaving the business after closing when the employee was approached by an unknown male wearing dark clothing. The suspect demanded keys to the business. The victim did not comply and was struck several times in the face by the assailant who fled with a bag that belonged to the victim.
The victim was taken by ambulance to Carroll Hospital Center and treated for facial contusions, police report.

The suspect is described as a male, unknown race, about five feet, six inches tall, weighing about 150 pounds and wearing dark clothing.
A $500 reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the individual responsible for the robbery.
