Young Musical Talent Highlighted during Third Thursday Concert Series

Partnership between Carroll County String Project and Brightview Westminster Ridge continues to positively impact community.

“Concert artists don’t just happen,” explains Peggy Ward, Third Thursday Concert Coordinator, founder of the Carroll County String Project (CCSP) and resident at Brightview Westminster Ridge. “They are the result of an incredible convergence of separate conditions that result in the beautiful music we enjoy hearing.”

“The amazing young people in this summer’s Gifted Youth series will provide a look into the making of the next generation of great musical artists,” she concludes.

Continuing through the summer, the Third Thursday Concert Series in residence at Brightview Westminster Ridge, an Independent Living, Assisted Living and Dementia Care community at 505 High Acre Drive, will feature the musical talents of area youth.

In partnership with CCCP, a nonprofit musical instruction program for youth, the performances seek to positively impact the quality of life in Carroll County by bringing classical music to the greater community with the monthly, midday concerts.

Featuring performances by local, regional and nationally known musicians, the concerts will be held through December 2015.
