• New Crosswalks, Speed Humps and Sidewalk Improvements Completed in Wheaton (mocoshow.com) — New safety upgrades are now in place along McComas Avenue and nearby streets in Wheaton, including raised crosswalks, speed humps, curb extensions, and ADA-compliant sidewalks. County officials say phase one of the neighborhood greenway is complete, with a short second phase planned to link to the future Amherst Avenue Bikeway and improve walking and biking access to Wheaton's transit, jobs, and shops.
   

• County Council to hold another vote on Planning Board nominee who Elrich vetoed (bethesdamagazine.com) — Montgomery County Council is taking public comment on zoning changes tied to the University Boulevard Corridor Plan, which covers the stretch from Silver Spring's Four Corners to Wheaton and could reshape development and transportation near you. Councilmembers will also revisit a vetoed Planning Board re-appointment and begin pivotal discussions on the county's long-term solid waste strategy, including the future of the Dickerson incinerator.
