Year after year deliciously diverse food vendors fill the streets of the Wheaton Triangle, allowing thousands to try delicious samples at the annual Taste of Wheaton event. This year, Westfield Wheaton is helping put a deeper meaning into the Taste of Wheaton, by partnering with local non-profit organization MUM (Mid-County United Ministries) to set up a food-drive donation booth at the event. Stop by the Westfield Wheaton booth at the 18th annual Taste of Wheaton on Sunday, June 9th, from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and donate non-perishable food items to help share a “taste” with those in need. All donated items will benefit Capt. Joseph A. Mattingly, Jr. Food Pantry.
Participants who donate non-perishable food items at the Westfield Wheaton booth will be rewarded with one spin of Westfield’s Taste of Wheaton Prize Wheel. Prizes featured on the wheel include Taste of Wheaton Tokens, gift cards and merchandise from various Westfield Wheaton retailers, and Westfield’s “It’s All Here” insulated shopping bags, among other prizes. Donators are also eligible to enter to win a raffle for a $200 Westfield AMEX Gift Card. Good things come to those who give!
“The Taste of Wheaton draws a large local crowd to the Wheaton Triangle every year allowing people to “taste a little bit of Wheaton.” This year, we really wanted to make this event special, and what better way to do so than by providing the less fortunate with a “taste of Wheaton,” through organizing a food drive,” says Ken Buckner, Marketing Director, Westfield Wheaton.
