WHEATON, MD — Police are searching for an elderly woman with dementia missing from Wheaton. Adel Martin, 72, resides in DC but was visiting a family member in the 1100 block of University Blvd. W in Wheaton Wednesday evening, police said. She was last seen at about 1 a.m. Thursday morning at the family member's residence. Martin does not have access to a vehicle and is unfamiliar with the Wheaton area, police said. Police describe Martin as a black female, 5'5" tall and weighing 150 pounds. She wears glasses and was last seen wearing a teal t-shirt, green pants and black New Balance sneakers.
