With Featured Artist of the Month: Virginia Montet
Virginia Montet loves the vibrant colors of oil pastels and loves to blend directly with her fingers in making her art. She shares her love of flowers in paintings that convey spontaneity and warmth. Virginia originally comes from France, and goes by the artist name of Fleur de Virginie. She’s also fond of portraits and loves the thrill of capturing a likeness.
Self taught at first, Virginia studied with the pastelist L. Sterlikova, and has taken classes at the Brookside Gardens School of Botanic Art and Montgomery College. Always an artist in her heart, lately she’s had the opportunity to devote more time and energy to her art.
