Spring Lecture Series-Networking for Life: Your Role in Stitching Together the Natural World

Thanks to the generous support of the Friends of Brookside Gardens (FOBG), we offer an excellent FREE lecture series in spring and fall.  Space is limited: please register in advance.

Doug Tallamy, Author, Bringing Nature Home; Professor  & Chair of Entomology and Wildlife Ecology, University of Delaware

Biodiversity is essential to sustaining human societies because it is other living things that run our ecosystems.  Yet landscaping methods used throughout the U.S. have fragmented the habitats that support biodiversity.  Learn how we can reconnect viable habitats by expanding existing greenways, building riparian corridors, and by changing the landscaping paradigm that dominates our landscapes.  Replacing barren lawns with plants that best
support food webs will help sustain biodiversity in the future. Course #229309; Free. Registration required at www.ParkPASS.org.
