Accomplishment: Earning a the Alternative Scholarship Reservation, a new ROTC scholarship, worth over $200,000 in tuition, room and board, books and a monthly stipend, depending on where she goes to college.
Key to Awesomeness: Saroja was the first student to actively pursue the new scholarship at Kennedy. The ASR looks for students interested continuing the ROTC program in college, who have taken specific academic classes, participate and have leadership roles within extracurricular or community service organizations, a history of overcoming personal adversity and being regarded as a role model in the school.
