Baltimore County police are still investigating, and school officials say the student faces both legal and disciplinary consequences while reiterating that weapons are strictly banned at the Woodlawn campus. 
• Social Security's raise next year will be bigger. But there's a downside (sfchronicle.com) — Social Security’s headquarters in Woodlawn has announced a 3.6% cost-of-living increase for benefits starting in January 2027, affecting about 72 million people. While that means larger checks, experts note it also reflects rising inflation and doesn’t fully resolve long-term funding concerns for the program many Woodlawn-area retirees rely on.
