• Suit alleges firefighting foam makers hid chemical dangers (wwlp.com) — Abington is among more than 80 Massachusetts communities where serious PFAS contamination has been found in public drinking water systems, and the state now wants chemical manufacturers to pay for cleanup. Attorney General Maura Healey has filed a federal lawsuit seeking to recover remediation costs and force companies to address long-term environmental and health impacts linked to firefighting foams and other PFAS products.
