1 Dead, 6 Missing After Fishing Boat Sinks Off MA Coast
The U.S. Coast Guard Northeast District said it began a search-and-rescue effort around 6:50 a.m. on Friday after it received an emergency call from the 72-foot fishing vessel known as Lily Jean. According to the boat’s emergency position-indicating radio beacon, it was last known to be approximately 25 miles off the coast of Cape Ann. Search crews located a debris field near the location of where the emergency beacon was sounded, one unresponsive body was recovered from the water. A life raft associated with the vessel was also found, but it was unoccupied.

3-Vehicle Crash Results In Multiple Injuries On I-95: Authorities
Emergency personnel responded to the scene near Interstate Marker Mile 4 in the city of Attleboro at approximately 5:30 a.m. Firefighters used hydraulic tools to extricate a woman from one of the vehicles and came to the aid of a man whose vehicle was off the road in a snowbank by removing surrounding trees and branches to get to him. Both were taken to Rhode Island Hospital. A woman in another vehicle who was able to exit the car independently was also taken to the hospital out of precaution.
