DENNIS PORT, MA — A new outdoor hospitality venue is coming to Cape Cod this summer.
JJ Foley’s Cafe, a beloved bar in Boston's South End neighborhood, is unveiling a new concept called Backyard by Foley’s in Dennis Port. The 35,000-square-foot family-friendly outdoor experience is set to open at 645 Main St.
At the center of Backyard will be a 5,000-square-foot sail-covered Main Bar with lounge seating, sofas, and bar access. The main bar will actually be larger than JJ Foley's original South End location, according to the announcement.
The Dennis Port venue is divided into three zones. The Game Zone will include cornhole, lawn games and open space for guests of different ages. Multiple smaller bars will be spread throughout the grounds so groups can stay together while getting drinks.
There will be a Stage Zone that will serve as the entertainment area, with live music, rotating food trucks and flexible seating, as well as a 129-space parking lot.
“Backyard by Foley’s is all about creating a space where everyone feels welcome, from families with kids to groups of friends looking for a great night out,” said Mike Foley, co-owner of Backyard by Foley's. “It’s relaxed, it’s fun, and it’s designed so people can make their own experience every time they visit.”
The new venture extends JJ Foley's brand to Cape Cod with a concept centered on outdoor gathering spaces and entertainment.
JJ Foley's opened in Boston in 1909, and is located at at 117 East Berkley Street.
It's not yet clear when the outdoor venue will open, but the business said it will open sometime this summer.
