Top Dive Bar In Massachusetts Named By National Food Site

Looking for an authentic dive bar experience? A national food publication says Massachusetts' best can be found in Boston.

The Takeout recently named Biddy Early's its pick for the best dive bar in Massachusetts as part of a roundup highlighting one standout dive bar in every state.

"Its slogan is 'All roads lead to Biddy's,' and for many Boston locals, it rings true," The Takeout said of Biddy Early's.

"Actor Charlie Day even popped in to pour a few shots and sign autographs in 2025," The Takeout says.

Located at 141 Pearl St, Biddy Early's was named the Bay State's top dive bar by Yelp, The Takeout said, and the "humble joint has it all: Cheap drinks, legendary bartenders, and a solid darts scene."

The Takeout's annual roundup featured bars ranging from neighborhood taverns to live music venues, with one selection representing each state.
