This Breakfast Sandwich Is Ranked Among The Best In MA

Massachusetts has no shortage of places to grab a breakfast sandwich, but one favorite has been singled out in a new national ranking.

The Daily Meal named Vinal Bakery in Somerville the best breakfast sandwich spot in the Bay State, highlighting its "The Miss Maple" in a list of the best breakfast sandwiches in every state.

The list said breakfast sandwiches remain one of the country’s favorite morning meals, with shops across the United States putting their own spin on the basic combination of meat, cheese, eggs and bread. The Daily Meal said its picks included coffee shops, diners, bakeries, brunch restaurants and other local favorites.

The Daily Meal described the Vinal Bakery's sandwich as "life-changing" with an "unexpected twist," highlighting its homemade English muffin, farm-fresh local eggs and maple butter.

The full list includes breakfast sandwiches ranging from buttermilk biscuit sandwiches in the South to bagel sandwiches in the Northeast, along with croissant, focaccia, pita, waffle and English muffin versions.
