Bermuda Police ID Mother And Son From Air Ambulance That Crashed Off Nantucket

The medical flight was carrying two passengers and four crew members when it crashed.

NANTUCKET, MA — The Bermuda police have identified the two passengers aboard an air ambulance that crashed off Nantucket.

The police service identified the two Bermudians as Marilyn Lavonne Bean, 66, and her 41-year-old son, Sergio Wayne Lottimore.

"A BPS Family Liaison Officer has been appointed to assist the relatives of Ms. Bean and Mr. Lottimore, during this difficult time," the police service said in a social media post.

The plane was also carrying four Canadian crew members, according to the Coast Guard.

The medical flight from Bermuda was bound for Boston.

The Federal Aviation Administration notified the Coast Guard around 2 a.m. Saturday that contact had been lost with the Gulfstream G100.

The Coast Guard announced Sunday evening that it was suspending its search for the six people who had been aboard a medical transport aircraft when it disappeared over the weekend off the coast of Nantucket.

"The investigation into this incident is being conducted by the U.S. National Transportation and Safety Board, in conjunction with Transport Safety Board, Canada," the police service said.
