Childish Gambino, Kenny Chesney, Avril Lavigne: MA Events This Weekend

MASSACHUSETTS — It isn't so much a question of what there is to do in the Boston area and beyond, but rather, what should locals do?

Welcome to Patch's latest weekly roundup of highlight-worthy events across the city and surrounding areas. We've compiled them into one, easy-to-follow list, for your weekend planning.

This weekend, the We Make Noise Festival returns with Boston’s own OOMPA, Cakeswagg and Naomi Westwater performing at the one-day celebration on Saturday at Boston Crossing. The event is free and open to the public.

Country superstar Kenny Chesney also plays Gillette Stadium for three nights, beginning on Friday.

For the more food-inclined, Cambridge's Puritan & Company will host a summer clambake to celebrate the remainder of the season. The clambake is scheduled for 6 p.m. on Sunday, with the Puritan & Company patio open for guests to sit at a communal table.

Tickets are $100 and include a variety of appetizers, main dishes including fresh seafood and more, and peach cobbler.
