Crash Ending To MA Police Chase Caught On Helicopter Camera

The chase finally came to an end when a stolen Lexus struck stop sticks that had been set up by police and crashed into another vehicle.

MARLBOROUGH, MA — Two suspects were taken to the hospital and a juvenile suspect was taken into custody after a multi-town police car chase that was caught on helicopter camera ended with a crash in the Marlborough area Monday afternoon.

The chase began around 2 p.m., when Massachusetts State Police's Air Wing located and began following a 2002 Lexus that was stolen out of Peabody, already eluded Natick-area and MetroWest police, and was on the move in Ashland, according to Massachusetts State Police.

It finally came to an end when the Lexus struck stop sticks that had been set up by police, crashed into another vehicle, and came to rest in the median strip on 290 West between Solomon Pond Road in Marlborough and Green Street in Northborough, police said.

There were three occupants in the stolen vehicle, two of whom were taken to the hospital with minor injuries while a juvenile was taken into custody for booking, according to police. There were no injuries to the occupants of the other vehicle.

Police later determined that the stolen Lexus was also involved in a prior crash with two other vehicles on the ramp from Route 495 South to Route 290 West in Marlborough.

Information on charges is still pending, according to police.
