Dunkin' Launching Halloween Drink, Donut: MA Cheap Eats

MASSACHUSETTS — New England's favorite spot for coffee is ready to get into the Halloween season starting next week.

Dunkin' announced the company will begin rolling out a Halloween-inspired drink and donut starting on Oct. 16.

The company is set to unveil a new Potion Macchiato, a revamped Spider Specialty Donut and a Halloween Munchkins Bucket, which features new Halloween donut hole treats covered in chocolate and orange sprinkles.

The macchiato is available hot or iced and blends layers of espresso and milk "with a vibrant, purple marshmallow ube flavor."

In honor of the new purple-hued drink, Dunkin’s beloved Spider Specialty Donut is getting a makeover for this spooky season. The formerly orange-frosted donut is made with purple frosting this year and, as always, topped with a glazed chocolate munchkins donut hole treat, complete with chocolate drizzle for spider legs and white drizzle forming the eyes.

Dunkin’ is also introducing a new Halloween munchkin bucket. The purple bucket, illustrated with a Halloween motif, can be filled with a 50-count assortment of munchkins with new Halloween sprinkle-covered chouices added to the assortment.

Finally, Dunkin’ is dressing up its classic vanilla, chocolate and strawberry frosted donuts with a festive blend of chocolate and orange sprinkles.

With beloved treats like our Spider Donut and new menu items like the Potion Macchiato, we’re excited to give customers a delicious way to celebrate the spooky season,” said Beth Turenne, Vice President of Category Management at Dunkin’. “Whether it’s picking up a MUNCHKINS Bucket for trick-or-treating or sharing festive donuts with friends and family, we’ve got everything needed to make Halloween a little sweeter.”

Pumpkin Babka

Bakey, the Boston bakery founded by Uri Scheft, is rolling out a pumpkin babka for the season.

"This fall-inspired babka brings together warm spices and rich pumpkin flavors, making it the perfect autumn treat," Bakey officials said.

Available for pre-order and in-store purchase, the seasonal babka is available at all Bakey locations for $6.50 through the end of November.
