MA Is The State With The Best Public Schools, Analysis Says
According to WalletHub's analysis of public schools in the U.S. and D.C., Massachusetts public schools rank number one overall.

MASSACHUSETTS — Massachusetts is the best state in the country for quality public schools, according to a new analysis from WalletHub that takes performance, funding, safety, class size and instructor credentials into consideration.
After comparing the 50 states and the District of Columbia across 32 key metrics, the company decided that Massachusetts public schools rank number one overall and for quality, and second for safety, receiving a total score of 73.02 out of 80 total points for quality.
New England and the Northeast in general came out on top of the list. After Massachusetts comes Connecticut, Maryland, New Jersey, Wisconsin, and New Hampshire, in that order, on the overall public schools ranking by state.

The ranking for public schools quality is very similar: Massachusetts, Connecticut, New Jersey, Wisconsin, Maryland, and New Hampshire, respectively.

The five districts that ranked worst overall are Lousisiana, Alaska, Arizona, Oklahoma, and New Mexico, coming in at numbers 47 through 51, respectively.
