MA Stop & Shop Sells $31 Million Lottery Winner
The last time a Mega Millions jackpot winner was sold in Massachusetts was in 2012.

BELCHERTOWN, MA — Time to check your tickets: A Mega Millions ticket sold at a Massachusetts Stop & Shop is the sole winner of a $31 million jackpot, according to Massachusetts Lottery. The lucky ticket was the winner in Tuesday's drawing for the multi-state game.
The cash option on the prize is $16.3 million. The winning numbers on the lucky Quic Pic ticket are 33-41-47-50-62, MegaBall 20.
The Stop & Shop, located at 40 George Hannum St. in Belchertown, will receive a $50,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket.

The next drawing for Mega Millions is Friday. The jackpot is up to $20 million.
The odds of winning the jackpot are 1 in 302,575,350, according to Massachusetts Lottery.

A Maine man recently won a $1.34 billion Mega Millions jackpot. The ticket hit in a Jan. 13 drawing and represents the second-largest win in the game's history.
Tuesday's winner is the fourth Mega Millions jackpot won in Massachusetts since 2002, when the game expanded and changed its name from The Big Game to Mega Millions.
The last time a Mega Millions jackpot was hit in the state was Oct. 16, 2012, when a ticket sold at AM/PM Convenience in Hyannis split a $61 million jackpot with a ticket sold in California, according to Massachusetts Lottery.
In 2011, a $32 million Mega Millions winner was sold at Tedeschi Food Shops in Dorchester.
The largest Mega Millions prize ever won in Massachusetts is a $294 million jackpot won in a 2004 drawing on a ticket sold at Powers Wine and Liquor in Lowell.
The largest jackpot ever won in any game in Massachusetts is a $758.7 million Powerball jackpot won in a 2017 drawing. That ticket was sold at Pride Station & Store in Chicopee.
Mega Millions prize winners have one year from the date of the drawing to claim prizes. The jackpot prize must be claimed at Massachusetts State Lottery headquarters located at 150 Mount Vernon St. in Dorchester.
